Small footprint, big look

Documentary

Observational and interview-led work, shot to move quickly without losing the look.

Documentary work rewards a small crew and a fast camera operator, which is exactly what a working DP with sixteen years on his own kit gives you.

We shoot observationally when the story is happening in front of us and sit down properly for interviews when it is not — usually both, on the same job.

The footprint stays small on purpose. Fewer people in the room means people forget the camera is there, which is the whole game.

Questions

The things people ask first

How small can the crew be?

As small as one or two people when the subject needs privacy or the location cannot take a crew. We scale up when the story allows it.

Do you shoot interviews and verité on the same shoot?

Usually, yes. Most branded documentaries need both, and shooting them together keeps the budget and the schedule sensible.

Can you travel for documentary work?

Yes. Passports are current and we work domestically and internationally.
